Why would we need supplements
I eat healthy, so why would I need supplements? Eating fresh fruits and vegetables is very important. Yet the supermarket is full of processed, genetically modified products that contain many harmful substances and too few micro nutrients.
The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that more than two billion people worldwide suffer from micronutrient deficiencies. The health effects of Hidden Hunger are not immediately visible. Complaints such as poor physical and mental development in children, vulnerability or worsening of disease, mental retardation, blindness and general loss of productivity and potential are caused by a shortage of micro nutrients. For the most part, they contain unhealthy or no-add fillers and binders, or sweeteners. or they consist of synthetic vitamins such as the well-known ascorbic acid. This is sold as vitamin C, but lacks the essential complexity of natural vitamin C. According to the Nutrition Center it does not matter whether you use synthetic or natural vitamins. Still, it’s a good idea to read the labels of the products you use for your health. Don’t give the responsibility for your health to someone else!
